Our Approach
Hummingbird House is a place where students can work on personalized academic and functional skill acquisition. We offer one on one tutoring as well as small group workshops and social groups based on individual interests and needs. Our student centered services allow for academic enrichment, additional skill practice and exploration.

About Us
Our instructors design each session with intentional teaching and experiential learning in mind. They are focused on creating a plan to instruct students with a specific learning goal or developmental outcome in mind. In our home based setting, students can experience hands on experiences by using real-world, practical activities to connect their abilities into skills. We strive to offer topics that matter to help our students grow.
Working at Hummingbird House
We are always looking to grow our offerings to families in Central Ohio. Here at Hummingbird House, we are especially fond of current/retired educators, therapists and pre-service teachers who are looking for a way to use their talents to support the things that students need outside of the school setting. All instructors are independent contractors who rent space at Hummingbird House on an hourly per-class basis and can work as much or as little as their schedule allows. All instructors are required to provide documentation of a current clean background check (ODE license or similar state licensure is acceptable). Contact Sarah for more information on teaching a course or renting a permanent space for your private practice.
